2004 and 2007 in United States

2004:
George Bush again in power, Facebook, and Freedom Tower
Reagan is gone, new memorial, Opportunity is turned on

George Bush again in power:
After the election of 4004, US republican candidate, George W. Bush was once again nominated president of the United States. In his run against John Kerry, bush carried with 31 states, and 50.7% popularity.
Facebook:
The social networking website was first launched on February, 2004. it was founded by Mark Zuckerberg, Eduardo Saverin, Dustin Markovitz, and Chris Hughes, with the initial intention of communication between college students.
Freedom Tower:
The floors of what was once known as the World Trade Center were once again opened, and the construction of the Freedom Tower was now an option in Ground Zero. This happened in July, 2004.
Reagan is gone:
On June 5th, 2004, after suffering with Alzheimer's Disease, the 40th President o the US, Ronald Reagan dies. his 7 days long funeral ended with the burial of his body in  the Ronal Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, California.
New memorial:
Opened to the public on April 2004, the WWII Veterans Memorial, designed by Frederich St. Florian, was made to honor the Americans who served in the armed forces and as civilians during the war. It stands in the National Mall, and is visited by about 4.4 million people every year.
Opportunity is turned on:
NASA's MER-B, also known as Opportunity, is a robotic rover that has been active around Mars since 2004. This robotic rover helped the scientists in NASA to further discover that, at some point in the history of the universe, Mars was covered in water.


2007:
Iphone, Iraq has grown, Peloski, U.S embassy has blown
Somalia war, Virginia Tech massacre, bridge collapses to the floor

Iphone:
Steve Jobs unveils the 1st Apple Iphone to be released in the summer
Iraq has grown:
President Bush announces a plan to station 21,500 additional troops into Iraq will take place.
Peloski:
Nancy Peloski was the 1st woman to take office as U.S Speaker of the House.
U.S embassy has blown:
In Athens, Greece the U.S embassy is attacked with a rocket propelled grenade.
Somalia War:
U.S planes conduct air strikes in Somalia against suspected terrorist.
Virginia Tech Massacre:
Thirty-two people are killed on the premises of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in Blacksburg, Virginia.
Bridge collapses to the floor:
The I-35W Mississippi River Bridge over the Mississippi River in Minneapolis, Minnesota collapses during the later part of rush hour, killing 13 people.

  1. I find the freedom tower to be very interesting. It was just pronounced the tallest building in New York a few weeks ago (:
