Welfare was reformed in 1996
Tupac was one of the most famous rappers in the world and he was killed in Las Vegas.
Bill Clinton won reelection in 1996
Immigration Bill stated that people illegally in the U.S. for 180 days but less then 365 days must remain outside the U.S. for three years unless they obtain a pardon.
Dolly the sheep was the first mammal to be successfully cloned
School Shootings occurred several times in 1996 and again in 1999

2001-

Tiger Woods, First attack, George Bush, anthrax
Black Sunday, 9/11, Wikipedia


 

Tiger Woods- First golfer to hold all 4 major titles at the same time.
First Attack- October 7, 2001first attack in war on terrorism against the Taliban and Al-Qaeda
George Bush- Beat Al Gore for President.
Anthrax- Letters containing anthrax arrived at news and media offices of two Democratic U.S. Senators.
Black Sunday- Dale Earnhardt died in Daytona 500 in a fatal crash.
9/11- Four planes were hijacked and crashed, killing thousands of U.S. citizens.
Wikipedia- Launched by Jimmy Wales and Larry Sanger as a free online encyclopedia.

  1. I remember 9/11 and it was a really scary event. I did not know Wikipedia was launched by Jimmy Wales and Larry Sanger! Wow, this is interesting information!

  3. I liked the rhyme scheme for 2001, it fit the song. (Mine was better though)

    yeah i did 1999 so i know school shootings happened then.
